On Saturday, September 10, 2016, at 7:30AM, Houston will again serve as a run location for a 5K, 9/11 Heroes Run to be held at Ellington Airport. The 9/11 Heroes Run is held to ensure that no one forgets the sacrifices of so many that day and in the decade since. The proceeds from this event will go to assist wounded veterans, injured police officers and firefighters, and the families of Fallen Heroes and veterans. Come join other runners and volunteers as we honor our Heroes. Our goal is to never forget the sacrifices of all of the Heroes of September 11th i.e. veteran, first responder, civilian. Volunteer, run, or just come out and watch as it promises to be a great time.
For more information, or to register for the event, please go to www.911heroesrun.org. If you are interested in volunteering your time for this cause, please contact Captain Greg Fremin at 713-635-0225 or Captain Bryan Bennett at 713-247-8946.
