COMMUNICATIONS

Alan Helfman has brought equipment and supplies for 10 new wheelchairs to anyone that needs one for themselves or a family member.

New body worn camera updates with recording after the fact here, no problems yet.

Chase policy updates, you need to protect yourself. Department punishment is arbitrary. Clarification is still needed and not being done by the department.

The Metro PD merger is still a possibility, but nothing has been done yet and the contract will have to be open to do so.

Special Victims cases issue ongoing.  Poor communication coming from and inside the department.  The Union was not advised ahead of time to get ahead of the story.  The reaction and execution have caused more problems than we started with at the beginning.

Please give monthly to PAC if you are not already doing so.

Officers in crisis, how can we help? Tell people about the problem. City policy needs to change.  AA meetings have started at union hall.

Shut down rumors and get the truth out.

Resources are there to help all around but we do not know what we are not told so get information out to those that can help.

ATO has ongoing fundraisers. Gala is March 23rd. More fundraisers and events coming up and police memorial services in and around May.  Thank you to Tim Whitaker for all you do.
