Minutes for the March 2025 Membership Meeting

OPENING

Douglas Griffith called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

DEDICATION 

Meeting dedication for Officer John Terrell Bamsch, end of watch January 30th, 1975.

SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS

MaxLiving Chiropractic presented information.  Information on the tables.

 

PATROL OFFICER OF THE MONTH / INVESTIGATOR OFFICER OF THE MONTH

Officer of the month is Jesus Avala with Northeast Division.  (not present for the meeting)

Investigator of the month is Ryan Pena with Special Victims Division.

 

TREASURER’S REPORT

The motion to accept the treasury report was made by Debbie Lahaie, second by Tim Whitaker, motion carried. The report is on the table and available upon request from Tim Butler.

 

COMMUNICATIONS

The ATO has ongoing fundraisers. More fundraisers and events are coming up.  ATO Gala tickets are on sale now and the gala is March 29th.  Gary Gryder Golf Tournament is today and tomorrow.  Thank you to Tim Whitaker for all you do.

Raffle tickets and collections being held outside for fundraisers coming up.

Benefits Fair will be at the union again this year on March 12th. Representatives from the city and the union will be on hand to answer questions and sign people up for all policies.

Scholarship information is out, and the breakfast will be April 12th.

Contract negotiations have started and continue.  More information soon.  Do not believe any rumors you hear; information is not in the public.  Hopeful to be wrapped up very soon.

Please give monthly to PAC if you are not already doing so.

Officers in crisis, how can we help? Tell people about the problem. AA meetings have started at union hall. Officers need help so please reach out with any problems.

Shut down rumors and get the truth out.

Resources are there to help all around, but we do not know what we are not told so get information out to those that can help.

Remember to sign up for Online ID protection on the 3rd floor.
