Mark has been aware of my involvement with Operation Lone Star and in February invited me to tour the Warriors Heart facility. I coul In early December Operation Lone Star placed 100 Christmas wreaths on veterans’ graves at Brookside Cemetery on I-69 North and another 100 Christmas wreaths on veterans’ graves at Rosewood Cemetery on Rankin Road in Humble. dn’t make the trip at the time so I asked Mark what we could do for him. He explained that a large portion of their rehab/therapy program involved their wood and metal shops. He said they were in dire need of a band saw and a dust collector. Done! - March 24 we attended the grand opening of the Fallen Warriors Memorial Art Gallery located at 13,455 Cutten Road, between FM1960 and Cypresswood. It is located south of the Fallen Warriors Memorial, which is dedicated to Texas military personnel killed in action in Iraq and Afghanistan.

As per custom, we also lowered the United States, Texas, and military flags to half-staff and turned on the red, white and blue lights that illuminate trees in the background. The flags were raised and the lights turned off when MSgt Dunbar was returned home.
